Always stupid and dependent,
always in the need of love –
always unexempt from treatment,
lacking impulse from above,

always being beast of burden,
always showing off the tongue,
it is evilness to Britain.
Dogs are only for the young.

I have put a link to this post on the blog hop of "dVerse" | here |.

  1. I've always been a fan of more independent animals: cats, chameleons, etc.

Though, I don't mind big lazy dogs like St. Bernards - they're adorable...

  2. Ooooh, speak your mind, won't you? I used to think that (being terrified of dogs when I was little), and yes, perhaps they are a bit needy, but then aren't we humans occasionally needy too? And I agree with Anthony about St. Bernards (or Labradors or Alsatians) - very intelligent as well as adorable.

  3. I think having a dog requires a certain devotion I lack.. and like Anthony I prefer the independent animals-- ..

  4. I think I'll look for a watch-goldfish :)
